Aspect Ratio

I was just wondering what the original aspect ratio for the film was. I just bought a bootleg copy of it and i've never seen it.

I saw it on the big screen recently--it was 1:85:1. Maybe 1:66:1 but I'm pretty sure that it was 1:85.

"Luna" has FINALLY been re-released in the United States on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc, by Kino Lorber. It has been re-released in a "Mastered in HD" print (the back of the package reads, "Anamorphic (1.66:1))".

I just bought a DVD copy of the film, and it looks great. It is available for sale at the Movies Unlimited web site.

According to an Internet report about a public screening of the film in New York City in 2016, it took over two years to find an original 35-millimeter print of the film, and 20th Century Fox gave the public screening organizers a special dispensation to show the film there. Most likely, this "pristine-condition" 35-millimeter film print was used to make the HD Master for the "Luna" DVD and Blu-Ray Disc.
