This is something that Mr. Hamilton has been talking about doing since at least 1982. I remember watching a TV show which interviewed him (I think it was Entertainment Tonight), and he was saying that they were about to start production. Then a year later, things just stopped.
I knew it was in the woks again a few years later, but his working on Dynasty put it on hold again. I think that by the time that finished, the interest in the movie had waned. I am not sure how well it would go off, having been put aside for so long.

What about a remake to love at first bite but this time Jason David Frank as Count Dracula, and Amy Jo Johnson as cindy. Have it where Dracula is practing martial arts in his castle and he have a female servent name Lizzie. And the gov't of the country kick Dracula, and Lizzie out of the castle so they can build gov't building. So Dracula and Lizzie went to remote island where there is only few people on the island. There is a cave on the other side of the island so Dracula and Lizzie went to the cave. The next evening there was a bad guy who kill Cindy's boyfriend then before the bad guy could kill Cindy Dracula step in and scare away the bad guy. Then the three of them went back to the cave where Cindy and Dracula have sex then six months later Cindy became pregent with Dracula's daughter. A few years later Dracula and cindy kiss each other and they said that love each other very much so they got married then on their honeymoon Dracula told her that he is vampire and prove by showing his fangs and she accept him for who he is. Then Dr. Van helsing came and try to destoy Dracula but Dracula turn into fog and escape and him and Cindy went back to the island where their baby is born and they name her Erin a half vampire and half human. With all of her father's powers but none of his weakness expect for thirst for blood. So Cindy ask Dracula to turn her into a vampire he first drink her blood then he poke his tong then he put his tong into Cindy's mouth then she died at 4am in the morning then 2 nights later she rise from her grave then Dracula give her blood from a pig. Dr. van helsing came to the island and he kill Lizzie then Dracula use his power to kill Dr. Van Helsing. Then 10 years have past and Erin is 10 years old with the thirst for blood. And they move to New York. Where they suck the blood of the living. And Erin fight againest bad guys then she suck their blood the end.

"Divorce Transylvanian Style" might've been the proposed sequel's original title. I remember legendary American International producer Samuel Arkoff said in a "People" magazine interview "Bite" cost $5 million to produce and $7 million to advertise. Way more than he was used to spending on a single picture. Pretty certain Arkoff also droppped the proposed sequel's title in the same interview.
