If it wasn't for this film, and Frank Langella's Dracula from 1979, Mr. Barlow from Salem's Lot would've been a suave vampire. According to the bio, they decided on Mr. Barlow being a hideous creature because of these 2 films since Salem's Lot also came out in late 1979.
