A little romance, vivaldi music

I am trying to find the mandolin concerto by Vivaldi which was so
beautiful in the movie. Another website said it could be one of
three pieces used in the movie. So, I'd like to find the EXACT one!
If anyone knows, please pass it on.

Thanks.

The mandolin concerto was composed by George Delerue, who is credited for the music for the film. I have the soundtrack on CD. I purchased it on Amazon.com 2 years ago. I have been a fan of the film since 1979. It's nice to see someone else appreciate this lovely film and it's exquisite use of music.

I know this message is way too late.
If you are talking about the slower piece that plays as the romantic theme, it is the Vivaldi Concerto for Lute in D (second movement), though it is more commonly transcribed for Guitar so you might find it as Concerto for Guitar.
The faster (moderato)Mandolin piece that plays during the end and credits is also Vivaldi but I'm not sure exactly what.

George Delarue is the listed Soundtrack composer and seems to have re-titled and gotten the credit for all the music.

My favorite piece:
it's vivaldi's mandolin concerto
It's Vivaldi's Lute Concerto in D, RV 93, and specifically the "Largo" movement. It's sometimes called the Guitar Concerto, since that's the modern instrument used instead of the lute

This music is really beautiful. Like everyone i love the guitar concerto in D. I saw the film in my teens & never forgot that vivaldi tune. The CD soundtrack is out of print now but fans of the music may beable to find the Soundtrack at Amazon or ebay. Georges Delerue got an Oscar for the score and its a shame that the Soundtrack has not been re-released as it deserves to be heard!

I also have the soundtrack to the movie it has been one of my favorites for YEARS! I absolutely love the romance! It is so sweet and innocent , reminds me of my younger years also. If you look on www.dogpile.com and go to the audio search part of it Type in A Little Romance or who its by, if you need to add theme and you can actually listen to it. I think you can find what you need there.

I'm a bit surprised that nobody else mentioned this, but John Williams also used the Vivaldi piece in the 1972 John Wayne western "The Cowboys". Robert Carradine, who made his film debut in that, has a scene where his character "Slim" is learning to play it on guitar.

Years later, I saw "A Little Romance" when it first came out in '79 - soon as I heard the piece, I automatically thought of "The Cowboys"!

When you think about it, the piece suits these films since, afterall, they're both about kids coming of age.

It is a beautiful piece of music.

Funnily enough, the first time I heard that romantic theme was on the show "Sesame Street". It was used in a film piece showing a little flower growing in the middle of the urban jungle!

I am - SUPERFLUOUS!!!

That Vivaldi piece is one of my earliest memories, it was the background music for a little short film on Sesame Street (it's on youtube as "Sad Flower") and even as a little tiny kid it made my heart well up til it felt like it was going to burst. I spent many many years wondering what it was, I was so happy when I finally tracked it down. Over the years I haven't been surprised to find that I'm not the only one who loves it, cheers!
