Weak movie

There is nothing really special about this movie. The dialogue and story seems like it was pulled from a cartoon. The extreme zoom-in is overused, and at best, the acting is annoying.

The only positive is the fight choreography.

Fans of the genre must only be voting on this one.

This movie is a gem. I don't know what your talking about. The comedy is classic chinese humour and if you want great acting and great writing don't watch a kung fu movie which is strictly for entertainment. This is one of Sammo Hung's and Yuen Woo-Ping's greatest works.

I don't believe there is much reason to watch this movie twice. As far as entertaining Kung Fu goes, I think Kung Fu Hustle does a much better job. Not necessarily with the fighting, but as an overall entertaining movie.

If this is one of their greatest movies, I'm pretty confident I'll be steering clear of their other work.

Good luck avoiding Sammo Hung. He is pretty much in every kung fu movie from the late 70s to now. The guy goes beyond legendary.

I'll probably end up seeing Sammo Hung in a movie somewhere along the line.

I can't disagree about about the fight choreography work.

I'm not sure if I'll have an interest in making an effort to look for a movie he has directed though.

This is one of the best martial arts movie made. It's a classic. Right up there with Prodigal Son and The 36th Chamber of Shaolin. True the story isn't anything great, but the action and choreography is fantastic. This is a must own kung fu flick for fans. I love the music as well.

Funny you should say that, Sammo Hung and Woo-Ping Yuen helped choreograph 'Kung Fu Hustle'.
