Starring hip American actors of today? It would work as long as they have short cameos by the original Monty Pythonians.

I always wanted to put together an anti-Monty Python, with all American comedians and one English guy, and we'd just do Americanized remakes of Monty Python films. I always thought that would be a riot and piss the whole world off in the process, which is a very American thing to do.

NO. Perfect movies should NEVER be remade, because you can't recapture the magic that makes a movie so much better than it has any right to be.

Movies that could be improved upon are the ones that should be remade, like "The Hobbit".
