Holy Grail for me, but both are hilarious. Holy Grail is unlike any movie I've ever seen before, with all the animated shorts and skits, the lack of plot (which actually works really well here) and the sudden random editing. Brian moved more like a regular comedy, with an actually cohesive story and conventional editing. Nothing wrong with that.
Holy Grail - 9/10
Brian - 8/10
Meaning - 7/10

Holy Grail has more classic scenes but Life of Brian is better on consecutive watches not to mention has much more depth. Both are great but Life of Brian is more intelligent while Holy Grail would better appeal to casual watchers.

Holy Grail for me, but it's very close. Just for sheer quantity of laugh out loud moments Grail is right up there with the absolute funniest of all films.

Life Of Brian is more coherent story-wise. Holy Grail is funnier... and its looser structure isn`t necessarily a point against it, anyways.
