6.3?

I'm kind of puzzled as to why this isn't at least over seven.

Really weird.

It should be over eight, if you ask me. It's very good, a forgotten 70s classic. Scheider is magnificent (but not only him) in this intense and engrossing thriller. But with those darn imdb voters...

Unfortunately I disagree. I wanted to like the film and I expected the film to be very good: some kind of a tense thriller. Perhaps on the level of marathon man. I was enjoying the picture in the beginning. Roy Scheider is very good in these kinds of gritty roles. But then when they started with the prostitution plot during the middle, the picture started to lose its credibility and it felt like the plot was forced and contrived. It's not a bad film overall but I just can't recommend it.

I gave it a 4. I agree with your summary. Scheider was good but the plot cant make up its mind where it wants to go.

I like to watch movies when using the treadmill. Do not know if I would do it otherwise.

The rating is based on votes by IMDB members, and since many of them are jerks, what can you expect? I give it a 9, myself.
