versions ???? dvd

Can somebody tell me if the DVD that was released has been edited??

I was watching the dvd and I could have sworn that the scene where the newspaper guy having sex with pamela sue martin was more detailed?? I thought that the scene showed them in bed together. The dvd I have doesnt show that.

I thought when I first saw this on HBO years ago I thought that was part of the scene.

Any help would be greatful.

thanks

Saw it in a theater in my country (and absolutely loved it), but never again since it was not even on VHS, but from what I remember, it was not a sex scene. It went on with the female character saying "It did hurt" (great dialogue BTW, even dubbed), but nothing graphic. It quite fitted the movie's mood anyway…

Wow..I was thinking the exact same thing. I watched this the other night for the first time in 28 years and was absolutely convinced that early scene with the reporter and Pamela Sue Martin had more to it. Also, there is a rocky looking transition towards the end of that scene on the 2010 Corman Classics DVD which actually looks like a bit was chopped right out. It's very sudden and jarring. This seems to only strengthen my conviction. I haven't seen the original DVD issue so I can't compare it. There is a chance that the actual film print used to make the DVD was edited at some point and different from the old print which was shown on HBO. Pherhaps this was the only print available for a DVD transfer. I'm sure Shout! Factory wouldn't cut it on purpose.

I've seen a bunch of different editions of the film, and that scene's never been part of the movie.

Give a thousand monkeys a thousand laptops and they'd all be writing their stupid opinions on IMDB.

The OP is getting the scene with the reporter mized up with the scene where Polly goes to bed with Dillinger.
