Can you say remake is better? it's alredy been done!

i've had this on an old VHS tape, and figure i'd check it out now since i had just watched the original,
cybill shepherd looks pretty pale in the movie,
also, she wears a mustash for about the first 20 minutes of the movie,
cybill shepherds character is a more sleazy kind, and has got a pretty rude attitude, but when "Miss Froy" appears, she suddenly turns friendly,
some of the movie is word-by-word from the original, but it also takes some unexpected turns. (i won't reveal them.) - i revealed the mustash part.
I like sequals, but i never understand the point of re-makes. but it was enjoyable to compare.

lucy is about the hottest thing i've seen,
she turn a clowdy sky blue, and dry gras green,
lucy never seems to be mean,
and she makes me so keen,
lucy fills a hall with steam,
she gives my mind the sweetest of dreams,
lucy makes it hard to keep it clean,
she sometime arrive in small shirts and tight jeans,
lucy is so hot it must be some kind of skim,
i bet she could make a blind man see, and a mute man scream,
lucy puts some gravy on my beans,
she beats about everything in reality and movie scenes,
lucy is so smooth, and so lean,
she puts some flavour on my icecream,
lucy doesn't act a day over 19,
and noone else around seem to top her beam,
lucy can always turn me on it seem,
she's got more fire than an entire cheerleading team,
if hotness was a bad thing, she would have been suspended by the school dean.
when it comes to hotness, lucy should be entitled as a queen,

I think it was a pretty good remake of a mystery turned into a comedy.

Odd to me that so many here seemed to have liked the remake. I saw part of the TV version years ago, can't remember anything other than that I was bored and turned it off, and have avoided it since because everyone that saw it told me it was horrible. Oh well, to each their own. But the first was way better :)

This remake just doesn't cut it. Cybil Shepard is nice looking but a little pushy AND she ain't no Margaret Lockwood! The best part of the movie was Herbert Lom.

Watching it right now. Cybil seems to be yelling at everyone.

"There are 10 kinds of people, some understand binary and some don't!"

The original is much much better, but this one is not bad.

I enjoy this remake much more than the original.

The original gets on my nerves every time I see that long winded superfluous stamping scene in the hotel. Yawn. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

This remake gets to the point of the story much quicker, has far more humour and a better cast in Shepherd, Gould, Lansbury, Lowe and Carmichael.

That's its trouble. It's just humorous for the most part. Hardly any thrills but, a cute movie. I'll agree on that.
