Does anyone know why the name 'Froy' vanished from the window? Who could have touched it or should I go back and have a better look?

It just disappeared without rhyme or reason, except that it advanced the plot.

shareNo explanation but it's an apt anomaly. The lady vanishes and then her name vanishes from that train window. I wonder if it was a deliberate title pun.
shareIt was slight condensation that made it show up on the window, which then 'dried up' once out of the tunnel. I've no clue about the science of it but it can happen. Not sure about those exact circumstances though.
