Jericho mile based on a true story?
Was the 1979 Jericho Mile based on a true story? I was told yes by someone. Anyone know for sure?

It seems like it could have been, but I haven't found any real life reference to Larry Murphy or any story of similar telling...
shareNo it wasn't, it was an original script by Patrick J. Nolan. In his book about Michael Mann, Mark Steensland talks about how it seems like a true story, but it isnt.
