See The Hurricane 1937 for a great movie

I agree...so which is the right story...the 1937 version or this c..p? They must certainly took liberties with the novel by Hall. The acting was terrible and over the top for some of them. The Hurricane sequence, was impressive in some spots, but I noticed in the credits that a photographer was listed as "Wave' specialist. It seems that they kept repeating this one huge wave scene. The 1937 version without the luxury of CGI and the 1979 version of specialists, was outstanding...watch it just for that scene.
