Was this movie a critical and commercial flop? Or just one or the other? I saw this on HBO and in the info the movie recieved two stars, which isn't very good. Anyone know? How did it do?

have no idea, as far as i remember (i saw it long time ago) it was pretty good - at least as a story. I dont know why people dislike it so much.

The movie flopped like a hit and run. Despite of that, i liked it.

This film only made a paltry nine million dollars at the box office in America. That's pretty underwhelming even by early 1980's economic standards.

I remember looking forward to its release because I read a preview in Starlog. But until the internet I was convinced that my friend and I were the only two people in the world who had ever heard of it let alone seen it.
