This movie needs a re-make

I generally hate when they re-make movies. Usually they try to re-make a movie that was already great to begin with, such as Psycho or Manchurian Candidate, and the whole idea is doomed to failure.

But this film is one with a solid sci fi story idea behind it that was executed poorly; it's the perfect candidate for a re-make.
