Mentioned in Today's New York Times

Fleetingly, anyway. Apparently it's getting a special showing next week, with the screenwriters and Griffin Dunne participating in a discussion. Interesting, but not worth flying to New York (for me).

The mention is somewhat marred by the fact they misidentify Gloria Grahame (in a still) as Mary Beth Hurt, at least in my edition.

Thanks for the info. And, as for the shocking error: That's what comes of newsrooms eliminating the copy desk. Support your local copy editors, always (we're about much more than comma placement).

I firmly endorse Helena727's post on behalf of fellow copy editors the world over — those of us who have managed to stay employed as well as those whose jobs have been eliminated through buyouts, attrition and various newsroom euphemisms.

It's too late for me to attend the New York screening of this excellent film, but as a copy editor, I wouldn't be able to afford the trip anyway. ;-)
