Question re: the song playing during the snuff film

When Scott saw the Super-8 film (with Rotan in), wondering if his daughter was in it (but she wasn't), a latin song played. I've been trying to find out the name for ages as I love that song! Does anyone know the title? It was possibly Colombian or Brazilian.

reply

the song is in spanish so i don't think it is brazilian

I couldn't find the song but i fund the lyrics, the song is names "Con Tu Amor" (with your love)

Puesto que tuyo

Es un feliz corazon

Y en tus manos esta

Su futuro y su fe

No permitas que nadie

Cometa el error

De ahondar sus heridas

De nuevo otra vez

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Podra volver a sonreir

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Tendra deseos de vivir

Puesto que ha renunciado

A su vida de ayer

Y contigo confia

El pasado olvidar

No le niegues la ayuda

Que espera obtener

Con carino mas facil

Se puede borrar

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Podra volver a sonreir

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Tendra deseos de vivir

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Podra volver a sonreir

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Tendra deseos de vivir

Puesto que eres,

Su fe su guia y su luz

Y ha encontrado contigo

Esperanza y amor

Pues que ya

Ha padecido el dolor

Ahora debes decirle

Que todo acabo

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Podra volver a sonreir

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Tendra deseos de vivir

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Podra volver a sonreir

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Tendra deseos de vivir

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

Con tu amor

LOL
That song was made famous here in Italy by the great Little Tony (the Italian Elvis Presley)! I don't know if it's a cover, though.

I'm really struggling to source this song! The Italian version I've seen on youtube but I need to find the original Spanish version. I've searched "Con tu amor" but got nowhere! Are there any Spanish speaking viewers who can help??

reply

Hi everyone. The original song is NOT Spanish. It was composed by French tunesmith Hervé Vilard, and its original title is "fais-la rire" (make her laugh). Vilard, as so many other French and Italian 60's singers, created an alternative Spanish version, et voilà: con tu amor.

Anyway, the man who sings the song at the movie is not Vilard since he has no French accent (I can guarantee, because I'm Spanish).
I don't know why the song appears uncredited at the ost. Was it because Vilard was ashamed or maybe because the song was used without Vilard's permission?
