I've been to Hanover Street in London

This is one of the most wonderful WW II movies I've watched, as good as "Shining Through" with Michael Douglas, my other favorite WW II movie among the newer WW II films (I usually prefer WW II movies from the 40's and 50's).
I love the beautiful soundtrack by John Barry, the excellent cast and the plot. It never gets boring and is so romantic that it makes you cry.

When we spent several months in England in 2008, I took the tube to London and explored Hanover Street which is close to Regent Street and Hamley's Toy Store (just a short walk from there).

The church on Hanover Street looks just like the one in the movie where Halloran & Maggie met, but according to imdb it has been filmed in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.
I wonder where the scenes in France have been filmed?

I gave it 10 stars and wonder why the film received an average of 5.8 stars at imdb. It doesn't get better than that in this genre!

PS: Does anybody know where the townhall in France has been filmed? The one that's occupied by Nazis.
