Enjoyed the details of Victorian life

Like the two ropes in the ceiling of the first class compartment to hang up one’s top hat.

I agree, for me the recreation of 18th century England was the highlight of the film, followed by the great cast and performances. There was just something about films in the late 70s and the early 80s, and the way they depicted that time in history, that feels very interesting. I don't know how to explain it, but modern films don't have that specific thing.

Aesthetically, this film reminded me a LOT of Murder on the Orient Express (1974). There are a lot of similarities there, despite one being a murder mystery and one being a heist film, and I think that someone who likes one will like the other.

I should probably check that out.

MOTOE '74 is a good film. As I'm sure you know, it's based on an Agatha Christie novel. It's set a little later in time (the 1930s), but the aesthetics are very reminiscent of one another. As you probably also know, MOTOE takes place almost entirely on a train.

Yeah, I'm definitely aware of it--just have not yet seen it.
