You still have to admit for a '70s American martial arts flick, GGWB kicks ass.

If your enemy refuses to be humbled....DESTROY HIM!

Chuck Norris is a puff, though.

I indeed notice that Chuck's acting was worse near the end of the film than at the beginning – or maybe I had just run out of patience waiting for the inevitable finale where the honorable soldier got his revenge over the evil politician.

This film is nothing but a handful of short action scenes interspersed with long scenes of conspiracy explanations. The payoff of the former isn't worth the drudgery of the latter.

Despite the fact I enjoyed the film for its seventies ambience and its couple of cool action moments (waaaay too few!) gotta agree with you guys. Chuck seemed convincing at the beginning, then towards the end it was like he was reading off a cue card...but I'm not sure which I enjoy more!

reply

I agree with the OP, I was fast fowarding through it

I wonder if they filmed the end dialogue first, in case he got injured during the action sequences, and so maybe his acting got a wee bit better for the stuff shot later, but was actually in the beginning of the movie.

Chuck would approve.

I've seen this movie maybe 4 or 5 times (of course without fast-forward) and enjoyed a lot.
