am i the only person to have thoroughly enjoyed this masterpiece? can't be. please leave your comments. we have so much to talk about.

It's very well accepted fact that it's a great movie, probably, that's why no one is responding to it. Nothing to argue and no need to re-confirm the fact.

One complain, however, that it's not a big movie. I mean even after watching this movie mutiple times, I don't remember any character names from movie besides, bhavanishankar, ramprasad, and laxamanprasad? Nor do I remember a scene that doesn't involve any of these characters. It's not a flaw, just a reason that I do not enjoy the movie as much as Jaane bhi do yaaro, Andaz Apna Apna, Hera-Pheri...

How's that?

Not knowing Indian movies well, I started randomly choosing them from Netflix. The older the better. This movie is hilarious!

I think this is the greatest comedy movie ever made in India. Utpal Dutta at his best. Its hilarious. The vote rating says it all. - 9.2

This is only the third Indian movie I've seen (the others being Lagaan and Bombay Wedding), but it was a winner, too. Loved the boss!

Amol Palekar personified the common middle class man like no other aactor ever did

this movie is just amazing
i mean i am not one of those people who watch the same movie lots of times even if i really like it but this movie is just truly an exception i mean it makes me laugh like hell everytime i watch it...

nobody can beat amol palekar and utpal dutts combination.......the two of them together are 'out-of-he-world'ly hilarious....not just in this movie but also in a few others!

This movie is just a handmade masterpiece unlike todays assembly line bollywood comedies.Amol Palekar and Utpal Dutt can carry any movie through what a gr8 combination.I think Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are trying to imitate but I know they'll fail.

hey, I enjoyed it too! I thought Sanjeev Kumar (one of my favorite actors) was in it and was disappointed to find out that he wasn't...but nonetheless it was a circle of laughter for me.

Mann ki aankhen khol, baaaaabaaaaaaaa, mann ki aankhen khol... this has to be one of the funniest scenes Utpalda ever did, period :)

I just saw the film for the very first time and loved it! Some of the dialogues were really hilarious and Utpal Dutt was really brilliant in his role! Loved that song "Gol maal hai bhai sab gol maal hai"!
