An Excellent, Excellent Movie

I guess everyone is over at the boards for the latest blockbuster or thing to do.
They sure don't know what they're missing.

A great movie.

Yea if you go to the WOTW message board there is about 20 pages of posts. I came here because the movie was on tonight and wanted to see what others had to say about it. I saw it when it first came out in 1979.
I agree it's a great flick.

No such thing as an "old movie", people get old, movies never do. Film is forever.

I also caught up to this on cable the other morning and it made me late for work. I couldnt stop watching it. OUTSTANDING MOVIE. Up there with Midnight Run.

It be great to see this movie get a "second life" with a Special features DVD, but since Tom Hanks or Renee Zellpig isnt in it, Hollywood wont dust it off--thus screwing us again.

I love this film. It's a lovely, touching and occasionally quite funny little seriocomic gem. George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg are all fantastic in this film. The bank robbery was hilarious, plus the scene with Burns looking at the old black and white photo of his deceased wife was incredibly poignant.

I write bios, therefore I am.

Agree, and I hope everyone gets a chance to watch it.
Try not to wait until your "Golden Years", to see it.
