Were scenes cute from the VHS version?

I thought I read some where that some scenes or parts of the film had been trimmed down from the VHS to DVD release.

Is this true?

I literally just watched it on Encore (the credits are still rolling), and I think it was probably chopped up pretty bad. There are some idiotic scene jumps, the Foley work sounds like a German porn flick, and there are some BIG gaps in continuity. I bet there was a good hour more of pertinent film that we should have seen, but the film company probably didn't think they had a hit, which was right, but it could have been better. A better director, a better script, and better post production would have made it a great movie. Lots of bad decisions in evidence.

If we all liked the same movie, there'd only be one movie!

I noticed a couple of changes in the dialogue.

When Avram shows the picture of the Jewish family to Tommy , he mentions that the "little" one is nice to, I noticed that they changed it to, the "other" one is nice too.

And when the banker says, "we have to make a posse!" the responce from one guy is, " to hell with you, I don't have any money in the bank." When originally it was, " piss on you, I don't have any money in the bank."

a really small edit was, they cut out the double take the raccoon did when Avram was chasing the horse trying to keep it from running away.

The film was originally over 2 hours long, and one post here mentions a funny bit with Harrison's character Tommy with a prostitute. That one likely did not make the original cut I saw. There was a pretty lady o the train wearing an anachronistic low cut bodice, and I expected that to go somewhere, or for her to have been with Tommy; and the low cut bodice on the older daughter with her boyfriend indicated a slightly bigger part for her than we saw.
But definitely cut down was Gene's ice skating scene and his dancing in the street scene.
I would like to have seen all deleted scenes.
