What utter rubbish!!

Amateurish production values, wooden acting, shockingly bad editing...but the worst part is that it is chaotic and directionless. Completely lacking in anything you could call a plot, and basically just an excuse for a few flashes of flesh.

Ok, ok,.. I know that you genre-philes will go on and on about it being a perfect example of the vampire flick, blah blah. But really?! Who would want to sit through such tedious piffle (except a 13 year-old goth perhaps, for whom the briefest glimpse of a cross, a white face, some blood and some flowing 18th century chiffon is enough).

Oh dear.

Dude, how can you not like this movie? It has LESBIANS! What's wrong with you? Jean Rollin is a genius.

You'd have to be GAY not to dig the sh!t out of this flick.

reply

I'm gay and I dig the sh!t out of this flick.

And no, I'm not a lesbian. ;)

reply

I'm not gay or a lebian but I dig the sh!t out of this on blu-ray with two exteded sex scenes!

reply

How can you not love it!?The opening is so dizzying and then it starts with one of the most disturbing images i've seen (Blood lipstick). The cinemtagrophy is amazing.Every shot looks like its from some nightmare. This comes to a head during the barn secene. It starts with sex then without warning she kills him then she does the same to the others. In any normal movie the secne wolud end here. But rollin instead creates such a nightmarish image of her rushing toward the camara at such a low angle.I can clearly see him being inspired by kubricks clockwork orange this when he filmed it.

And it isn't a vampire flick. Its about blood fetishism

I just saw it a couple hours ago. It was a bit odd...But it had some BATHORY vibe to it. Blood and seduction.

It has a plot. It's not difficult to follow: a bunch of rich, bisexual, psychopathic women have fun by killing men to drink their blood.

It has its moments, but the film is badly put together. I like to think the director spent most of the day just telling the naked girls exactly how to pose and then hurriedly did the work

reply

Well you have to understand the film had no script. The entire thing comes from a bunch of nightmares the director had. Or so I've heard
