BREAKING THE ROCK

I just finished a book "BREAKING THE ROCK" by Jolene Babyak (her father was acting warden that night, Jun '62 and she lived on the island).

There is a photo of another prisoner, Tom Kent, next to a photo of Frank Morris and what's ironic is that Kent looks exactly like Clint Eastwood! Morris? Not at all...

How is the book itself? I was thinking about buying it.

I just finished reading it myself. I found it to be a very good read.

I've got her other book Birdman: The Real Robert Stroud. It's a good book that's very balanced. It shows him as an unstable, vindictive man who at the same time was definitely brilliant and had a propensity to ally himself with underdogs (case in point, him risking his life to close the doors of the convicts trapped in the solitary cells on the flats of "D" Block during the bombardment in the 1946 Battle of Alcatraz).

It's not ironic, but it is sort of interesting.
