An Italian DVD came out in 2014, released by 01 Distribution/RAI Cinema.
The DVD is R2, has no subtitles, and the film is presented in a slightly censored version (the first love scene between Ernesto and the man is cut by about 30 seconds, similar to the way the VHS tape released by Award Films in the USA was cut).
Apart from that, the transfer looks really nice.
