shareThe real question is will this be the 180 minute version or the 117 minute? Or perhaps even longer. I have heard of a version that includes the orginal in additon to a few scens that were only on the 117 version.
shareThe 117 minute version on the VHS release is awful! they took out plenty of important scenes and moved the scenes around! this makes the movie have no sense at all. The 117 VHS copy edits out the death threat on him, and makes the flashback of his life have no meaning! I watch the full 180 minute version on the History chanell which is the original broadcast form and it was awesome!!! Except for a few misunderstood facts (EX:1970 performace of Elvis singing "Burning Love" and handing out scarfs, This was done until 1972 "Burning Love relased in 72 also)in the film and Kurt over doing Elvis's stage movements a bit, Kurt's portraying the personality and voice of Elvis very realistically. Over all A much better film than the recent 2005 movie on CBS "ELVIS" that was terrible and boring!

I have been wanting for this to come out for years, apparently there is another version out at the moment it was only released last year. All the ELVIS fans ive spoke to have said it is just as good so i think ill have to have both, please as soon as anyone is aware that this is released please leave a message i need to own this DVD, Regards Kitty.

Same here! Watched this when my fan-dom started in the early nineties... I recorded it on video and watched it many times. I need a DVD release asap as it was such a groovy film! My favourite song depicted has to be "Blue Moon of Kentucky"!!!
Please note there is no 180min version. It is 163min, the rest is commercials.
shareI can't find this dvd anywhere! So frustrating! It's on Amazon.com, but I don't like to order anything online. Too risky these days. No video store have it either. Any suggestions?
