Robert Redford

Too damn fine. Still. I saw this movie at the theater when it came out. I love horses and it really hit home. I hadn't seen it forever until today. Love the movie.

This was one of my favorite Robert Redford performances. He absolutely lit up the screen in this film and not just because he was so easy on the eyes. he delivers a moving and charismatic performance that is believable and touching.

Agree. EH is one of the best "escape" movies that I have ever seen. Love it!

Actors like him have always been under-rated simply because he makes it all look so natural and easy. When Valerie Perrine starts on him about his injuries and his old philandering ways, the way he interrupts her and asks for the divorce papers, the hurt "a lifetime of regrets" look - now that's great acting. God, these guys were such MOVIE STARS. We have pale shadows passing for stars today. For all the people who think Brad Pitt reminds them of him, puhleeeze!

I agree! Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti have the same natural way of acting but they don't have the pretty faces of some of our biggest stars so they're not popular leading man contenders. Shame!

I agree on that so much. one of the many movies I can watch over and over again.
