The creature's eyes and special effects were quite good and actually frightening. He had that "demonic" look. I thought it was well done.

The film itself was empty but it still was a minor B pic that was fun.

"Fun" is the keyword here. I can't defend this film on any other basis, but it entertained me, so it was worthwhile. And what a cast of '70s also-rans: William Devane, Cathy Lee Crosby, Keenan Wynn and Casey Kasem!

I couldn't help but think of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video when I saw that creature with his laser-beam eyes.
