shareI have another theory: The film crew (more than likely Alan with a little help from Mark and/or Jack) killed/impaled the girl after having their "fun" with her. Notice when they "find" the corpse, Alan is smirking proudly, like he thinks it's awesome, until Mark warns him that he's filming.

It could go either way, either the natives impaled her or the crew did. Regardless Alan was clearly enjoying the fact that he found her impaled as it made a great shot for his documentary.
My question is what caused these kids to become evil people? Were they just spoiled brats who were brought up to believe that they were better than people of lower socioeconomic status so they saw the natives as sub-human?
This is 100% what the implication is within the movie.
They captured the girl in order to stage this horrific impaling tableau for their documentary. The gang rape was just a "bonus" for the sadistic, psychopathic film crew.
The guy had it coming so I didn't feel any remorse for him.
