Bad script - check
Actors you know from somewhere, but not sure where (other than Oliver Reed) - check
Awful outdoor sequences - check
Ridiculously loud phone ring - check
Pointing out you're holding a weapon - check
Silly makeup on "bad guys" - check
Horrible not really ambiguous, but close enough ending - check

Sorry, but this movie was pretty horrible!

I agree wholeheartedly with OP. I watched this because it was mentioned in some best of horror movies list, but it was a waste of time for me.
