Sorry to those who adore it, but I can't believe this one has 6.5 stars. Little kids murdering their teacher and grandparents? Consumption of afterbirth? I like weird horror films but this one is really tasteless, downbeat and disturbing. Only for Cronenberg completists.

"The Brood" and "Videodrome" are by far Cronenberg's best work.
You seem like you missed the point heavily; maybe you should give it another go? Which of Dave's films do you actually like, if any?

If you think this is tasteless. You should see some Japanese horror films. This film is Disney compared to some of the weirdness from Takahashi Miike.

Visitor Q is one of the most bizarre films I've ever seen.

Yeah, this was kind of decent up until you see the kids, then it's just corny and strange and...stupid. Good ol' Cronenberg!
