Risky move (spoilers)

Risky move to kill Nola when the brats were attacking Candy - who's to say that they wouldn't just carry on doing what Nola had last wanted, and be unstoppable, no reboot available. Stroke of luck...

reply

I don't think he really had a plan at that point. Candice was screaming, he likely thought she was already being killed, so he flipped out and strangled Nola.

reply

It was risky!
He could have been rescuing her from them instead of taking so much time strangling Nola. The daughter was screaming. He should have ran to her first.

reply

Had he ran to get her, Nola could have (telepathically) sent a message to the dwarf creatures, that he was headed their way. Seeing how nasty and decidedly vengeful she was at this point, she could have ordered them to kill Candy right in front of the father, THEN go after him afterward, sort of a final eff you in his face.

BLACKOUT!

reply

I dunno, going by what Dr. Raglan had just told him, that the brood were directly controlled by Nola's state of mind, I'd say it was an extremely logical way of handling the situation.

Good answer; it's the biblical "strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter" principle.

reply

it was either that or put on some mood music, make sweet love and smoke some weed after the deed was done. She was a bit ratty though, so maybe he made the right choice

reply

Always carry around mood music. Just in case.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

reply

He had no choice. Nola had already said ‘I’d kill her before I let you have her’, at that point the mutant award kids were targeting Candie and the only way to stop them was to take out the shepherd ASAP.
