I'm so fucking tired of older movies like this where you have to ride the goddamn volume button the entire time because the music is WAY TOO FUCKING LOUD compared to the dialogue. It's fucking maddening and I have no more patience for it.

Sometimes they can be cover for just piss poor silly dialogue.
Really wish they had a option to turn them off or down.

shareOur televisions could be made so that one could push a button to average the sound, but they don't. So you could blame them as well.
shareI've thought that in the past. Some films can get really loud at times but what really annoys me is the adverts where the volume usually jumps up.
shareTVs and DVD/Blu-ray players have a setting called “Dynamic Range Compression”, "DRC", “Dynamic Range Control” or “Normalization" which does exactly what you want.
