I just saw it today and I feel horribly sad. ok, i'm an Audrey Hepburn fan and a Sidney Sheldon one too. And from the first twenty minutes alone, my heart began breaking.

Audrey should have done a Greta Garbo when she could. I call for a remake!!! Who's in your mind?

They should have stuck more faithfully to the book. it was so much better and more interesting. anyways, i think Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta-Jones and maybe even anne hathaway could play elizabeth roffe. as for the lead? it's anybody's call...

but really..

A biographer stated the AH signed the contract for the movie without reading the script. The million dollar fee was to be for a trust fund for her children

...that she did it as a favor to the director, who helped her early in her career. It turned out to be a ridiculous potboiler that was the the worst thing anybody associated with it had ever done. The best thing about it was the ending because it meant the picture was over.

Half the movies ever made have been lost but we've still got this one....

She paid retail for those Givenchy togs ! !

Why would you want to remake something that was so shoddy to begin with? Why are so many IMDB users obsessed with remaking films?
