The race

Regardless if the horse won or not, i've never seen a worst ride by a jockey in all my life. Staying out there in the middle of the track losing all that ground the whole trip was just bad race riding. He was so far behind he should have been saving all the ground he could along the rail. Just dumb.

All I can say is: You have to let that go.

For any horse racing fan, you're going to immediately go there. The horse, true enough, is not close to the rail when he's all alone, catching up, particularly on the back stretch. A part of you can't help thinking; "what are you doing? Get to the rail, now".

This just doesn't matter here. It's a fantasy. It's beautiful. Let it go. The film has such an ethereal quality to it, it's filled with beauty, and incredible imagery.

Let it go.

And yet, he won.
