The Best Film For Young Boys Ever Made?

It's at the top of my list, like every boy's fantasy come to life, it's primal and feels epic and grand and adventurous from first frame to last. I've seen few films like it. I know girls love this film too, but this one in particular just feels so "boy" in the best way.

So I have to ask: what others are on the list of best films for boys?

A young man bonding with a relatively untamed beast is one of the great themes in story telling. A young kid, in this case a boy, has a bit of extra punch for some reason. It's a great film. I think it almost falls apart in Act II, but regains footing in the end.

I saw this movie in the theater with my dad when I was 6, and I still remember it. I haven't seen it in a long time, but I saw it many times as a kid and it made a big impression on me. I don't know if I'd even like it if I saw it for the first time today so I definitely think it's a movie that a boy can really connect to.

I think this is a great film for boys. For some reason love of horses has become such a girlie thing in our culture. This film shows how "manly" taming a wild horse can be. I love the story about the horse in the beginning being rescued by a little boy because he could ride him when the great conqueror couldn't.

I also can't help but think how much fun that actor had. He grew up on a ranch and then got to ride that magnificent horse on the beach for days. He probably couldn't believe they were paying him.

Not just for young boys. For anybody of any age or sex.
