The novelization

Anyone ever read (The King of the novelization) Alan Dean Foster's novelization of The Black Hole? I was just curious if it was any good and/or if there were any significant changes from the actual film.

Not many, just expansions from the movie. It opens on Christmas Day, and the ending is different....The whole Heaven/Hell ending isn't in the novel, as Kate, Dan, Charlie & V.I.N.CENT go into the black hole they 'merge' into a single entity.

It's been a while since I read the novel, but I'll check it out this weekend to see if there is any other changes & differences.

Wow, great info, thanks! You really don't have to dig it out and re-read it, though. That gives me all I need to know.

Interesting that it opens on Christmas day. Certainly grounds things a bit, gives us something we can get some purchase on in that crazy universe we're about to delve into. And the ending is really interesting. I'll be curious to see if the proposed re-make intergrates some of that into its script.

Thanks again !
