Funniest End Credits Ever

Without a doubt, the funniest end credits I've ever seen. There are days when this bit will randomly pop into my head and I'll just bust out laughing. Sellers was so good.

Now get this, honky. You go tell Rafael that I ain't taking no jive from no Western Union messenger. You tell that ass-hole if he got something to tell me to get his ass down here himself. Then he said that I was to get my white ass out of there quick or he cut it.

reply

I thought it ruined the tone set by the final shot and line.

reply

Agreed. Bloopers for silly comedies is fine but this one took me out.

reply

Do you happen to remember the "lovemaking" scene between Chance and Eve? It's so slapstick that it's practically a Marx Brothers scene. There's plenty of silliness in this wonderful movie. A great film can be both serious and silly...just like life.

reply

Then you are a humorless moron.

reply

omg - it is impossible for me to watch those end credits without being in a LOL state by the end of it.

"...then he said I was to get my white ass out of there quickly or he'd cut it." :-D :-D

reply

Absolute comedy magic. The fact that Chance was so straight-laced made it even better.

And it wasn't just Sellers who kept cracking up. The crew couldn't stop laughing either.

reply

It's a long time since I saw this film but I don't remember it ending like this. For me he walked on to the water's surface and that was is - presumably ordinary credits then rolled. I always thought that was an interesting end with differing interpretations but running the bloopers makes it just another comedy.

reply

It is said that Sellers might have won a Oscar for best actor, but the ending credits nixed it.

reply

I've heard that too, but as good as Sellers was, there was no chance (pardon the pun) he was going to win over Dustin Hoffman in Kramer vs. Kramer. That was a landmark picture and the best performance of Hoffman's career.

reply

Bullshit.

Those who vote in the Oscars do not watch the whole movie or even any of it if at all.

reply

Oh yeah.
It is great and a brilliant touch to a brilliant film.
