Some self-righteous jerk will probably blast me for saying so, but this is a great movie to see tripping. I happened upon it by accident while on $#R00MZ and it was mind-blowing, like Fantasia, Alice in Wonderland, Head, Yellow Submarine, etc.

The Dean Wilson diving scene is easily one of the trippiest scenes in any movie, period.
shareFunny you should say that, it was my wife and I's favorite part. Totally psychedelic. Another fun scene was the skiing dog in shangri la with mushrooms in the background. We were laughing so hard the whole time. We went back and watched it sober and it just wasn't the same. I don't recommend drugs to anybody, but if you're the kind of person who takes "magic" mushrooms, I highly recommend this movie. If you die laughing, don't blame me. I never said anything.
Nothing is "overrated". The number of people who like something and by how much defines "rating".
Haha agreed. It came out of nowhere too, I was like "whoa, guess they needed to meet their quota for trippy scene somewhere, and this is it."
Has anyone seen Cosmic Cartoon? It was the director, Lisberger's first cartoon I believe. It's on youtube. Anyway, it's just one long trippy scene. 10 minutes of just ridiculous trippy stuff, with no plot. We know what Steven was doing back in the day...
