Who are your favorite characters from Animalympics?

SORRY...Whenever I watch this movie I forget that I am a thirtysomething and revert back to being a 1st grade girl. I loved the "romance" between Kit and Rene.

When I was a kid, Dean Wilson was my favorite, but I also liked some of the small characters that got little screen time (and often lost), like the bull weightlifter who gets smushed, or the bionic Boar skier.

But now I have a new foud respect for Rene. His story always bored me as a kid, but now I find it pretty poinant, especially his dream sequence.

I just watched this again for the first time in 20 years or so and I enjoyed it as much now as I did then. Possibly even more so.
I know for a fact I didn't get the "Ingmar Birdman" skit when I was a kid.

But back to the question. Who's my favorite?
For now I'll say THE CALAMARI BROTHERS, who are often overlooked.

Ah man, decades later and I still love this movie as much as I did as a kid. I have so many favorite characters, I can't even think of them. A few that come to mind though are Bruce Kwakamoto, Kit Mambo's coach (the lion), Bear McLain (the hockey coach) and a bunch of others. I do need to rewatch this, it's been a few years.
