I didn't think crickets were out in the winter months. Why do we always hear crickets in the scenes when George or Kathy are shutting Amy's bedroom window?

And why does it not look like winter? This story takes place in December 1975!

And lets not forget about the fly's at the wrong time of the year.

The book and "real" story take place in Dec/Jan but the movie takes place in October. So the crickets and flies would make sense. Of course the flies are supposed to be a result of the demonic presence....
