Most spoiled moment in movie history after "Luke, I am your father"?
The chestbuster scene. Has anyone seen Alien on TV without knowing that moment was coming?

That's okay, though, because most people will not have seen the plot twist later coming.
And for "most spoiled moments", I'd go with the twist in Fight Club (ironically, since we're not supposed to talk about it) or the Sixth Sense.
The twist in Oldboy was pretty epic!
share It wasn't spoiled for me. I had heard that there was a very shocking scene. But I was never told exactly WHEN it would happen. When I first saw the movie I thought it was the moment in the ship when Kane bends over to look at the egg and detects "some movement".
The later scene still scared the crap out of me. it's one thing to hear about it. It's another to actually SEE it!
Oldboy's twist is horrifying, but is it spoiled that often? I tend to think of Oldboy as a bit of a cult classic. It was never really mainstream enough to get the spoiled level of The Sixth Sense where everybody was parodying it so much you couldn't help but come across it.
shareNo. That would be "You blew it all to hell!" and "It's people! ______ is made of people!"
shareWasn't that last one all but spoken within the trailer for the movie?
shareProbably. I wouldn't know because I wasn't old enough to have seen it.
Even if that was the case, it's been spoiled a thousand times and back for people who never saw the trailer.
I guess I was just agreeing with your point that it's one of the most spoiled moments since it was done in by its own advertising.
shareSadly for years I watched Aliens quite a bit and never watched the first. Heck I'd seen both Alien Vs. Predator movies before seeing the first a few years ago. So when that scene happened I already knew what was going to happen. I stayed away from the first since it wasn't as action packed. That was what my brother had said. I do like it now. I think I prefer the extended version where Ripley has to burn up her coworker because of having had eggs put inside him.
shareI saw it at the theater...didn't have a clue it was coming...scared the crap out of me.
Actually I think it scared the cast too. I think they didn't know exactly what to expect (on purpose).
[raises hand]
Watched it the first time it was on network TV with my brother (asshat didn't even think about having me not watching). I was in 1st or 2nd grade at the time so no way was I ever going to be exposed to any spoilers whatsoever. Let's just say I was...not expecting anything like that.
