This Was the Nail in the Coffin of the Airport Franchise!

I am stunned when people say that this was their favorite of the Airport movies. Really?
Everything about this movie is just awful. Airport '77 was really cool and I had hoped for more Airport films but not after this stinker. As a kid I thought a good Airport movie would've been about Air Force One. Then as an adult that was actually made, albeit not a part of the Airport franchise...

This last one was the last one for a reason. It was an awful film. You know you are scratching at the bottom of the barrel when your all star cast includes Jimmie Walker, Charo and Martha Raye among others. Apparently The Love Boat was on hiatus when this film was shot. And it is so laughably terrible. George Kennedy being able to stick his hand out the window of the Concorde in mid flight to fire a flare gun?

I can remember Kennedy on some talk show promoting this movie and he told the host that they already had "Airport 81" written and that it would be the biggest and best of them all. Apparently the total failure of this film scratched that plan.

NO, the actors we not all from the LOVE BOAT. Many were respected actors. You may be too young to know them
