Was judge Fleming crazy too?

Since everyone else is basically nuts in this film, I'm just curious.

The name of the movie should have been ...And Straitjackets For All.

Okay, I don't mean to bash this movie, it's not that bad, Pacino's performance is pretty good in this but yeah, if they remade this today, half the stuff in it would need to be taken out or shot differently to create more atmosphere. It seems like everything is just added to the film to develop Pacino's character. I like good solid character development in movies but if there is such a thing as to much CD in a movie, then this is it. You lose track of the main story-line with this much hoopla thrown in.

I give it a 5.9 out of 10. It's above average but idk, the movie is just all over the place. Too many subplots, themes, spins, directions etc..etc.. and unfortunately none of them create enough drama or suspense to make this movie more intriguing.

are you schizophrenic? All the subplots, as you say, are part of one major THEME. The theme of the movie.
