Was there really a 2007 Christmas Special??

Was there really a 2007 Christmas Special? Was it a "reunion show"? Was it shown here in the US?

reply

Yes - no it wasn't shown in the USA apparently, but I believe Amazon have the disc. It revolved around the DeVere's 25th Wedding Anniversary. You can see all the details and cast list on the IMDB.

BBC America Shop has the DVD on pre-order status. If you have a machine that can play Region 2 PAL discs, you can order it from one of the places that sell DVDs in Britain. I already bought mine, and wrote a review for the BBC America Shop site.

If you liked the original series, the special is a can't miss. The three main actors, (Penelope Keith, Peter Bowles and Angela Thorne,) are every bit as good as they were in the original series. What was really important is that Peter Spence wrote both the special and the original series, so it has the same flow and plot twists. He doesn't seem to have lost anything to time, either.

I accidentally found it and can play it in the US via youtube of the uk. Not sure if it is on the youtube.com of the US or not. I got there via fanpop.com and put in to the manor born. It led to it under videos directing me to youtube of uk. It is under "To the Manor Born Christmas special 2007." Good luck.

They are selling it on Amazon UK right now for just under six pounds.

This is starting to make the rounds of U.S. PBS stations - I caught it on my local PBS station last Saturday evening (I'd previously watched a little of it on youtube) - personally, it just made me feel older.
