Wouldn't Roger Cook have something to say about drilling holes into a tree to support a 'Tree House'?

I never thought I would ever use profanity on IMDB and certainly never thought it would be on 'TOH' but yesterday's episode featured the finished 'Tree House' now ready for use by the owners little children. The only thing I can say is are you 'Fn' kidding me. Forget about the possibility of killing the tree what about killing one of the children. The Platform of the treehouse was 6 to 7 feet above ground. To get to the top they draped a rope netting (6in sq - Perfect for a child's head) for the children to climb up. The rope just screamed out, 'child accident waiting to happen'. As security once the children are on top is the same type netting to secure the entrance by hanging it on a protrouding screw. I BEG YOU... RETHINK THIS ONE... SAFETY FIRST...

gee, and when we were little, we used to climb the tree, dragging boards, nails, and hammers up with us as we went!!
but i understand your concern. i think the whole treehouse concept was a joke. a waste of time on what is usually an informative show with smart, easy to understand professionals.
i suspect the treehouse segment was a 'payback' for donations to the show by the treehouse hardware company :-)
basically, an advertisement.
