Nice that they didn't change the backstory

I really like the fact that, when they dubbed the show into English, they kept the backstory the same in that it's the WW II Japanese battleship Yamato that gets turned onto the spaceship that ultimately saves humanity. Yes it gets re-named (in the dub) after it's transformed, however the US distributors could've easily changed the backstory through dialogue and said it was the Arizona that got sent to Iscandar instead. So lots of credit to them for that.
