As a shoestring fan I sent an email to 2entertain as to the proposed release date of Series 2.
There isnt one.
The reply email stated that if enough interest is shown in the series then they will consider releasing it.

Good idea, have done just now... I was hoping they'd pop series 2 out a year after series 1 but that date (17th Oct) has been and gone.

Just received a reply from 2entertain yesterday (13th August 2013) saying they have no plans yet to release the second series.
Gutted, as when I saw this post I thought maybe the wheels could be in motion.
Just received this answer from the BBC to my enquiry about the release of Season 2. Looks like the onus is on fans to pester them for a release.
"I am sorry to have to disappoint you but upon investigation I can confirm that we have no immediate plans to clear and release this second series. The cost of clearance for Series 1, and the disappointing sales has meant we simply can’t justify a second series DVD release. Our DVD sub-licensing Manager is trying to drum up interest with other UK DVD distributors but they are aware of Series 1 sales so have yet to express any interest.
