R2 DVD release of S1 is now looking very likely to be mid-October 2011
A number of UK retailers are indicating a release date of mid-October 2011 for series 1 of Shoestring from 2|Entertain.

This is a late reply I know but I've just purchased my copy of series 1 on dvd from the BBC ebay shop. Only £6.00 what a real bargain!
It's brought it all back to me - The intrigue of 1979 saturday nights waiting to see what Eddie has to solve each week, the great scenes and locations, the 1970s cars, the beauty of Erica Bayliss..
I could go on and on.
